Hatched in a tempestuous wind, Free Rancher was born to be the greatest storm chaser. He pursued tornados, hurricanes, and rode bolts of lightning for his entire life. One day he came across a particularly dark, black and stained storm that intrigued him. Just as he was about to dive into the heart of the storm he was stopped by Master Eon. Eon told Free Ranger if he really wanted to pursue and fight evil, then he should put his power into the efforts of the Skylanders. Free Ranger agreed, and joined Master Eon?s team.
