If you didnt play the classic The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on Gamecube you might not be up to speed on the story. Luckily a new trailer is hear to introduce you to this cartoon version of Hyrule and Link and Zelda. We’ve also got new screenshots so you can see how awesome the game looks in shiny new HD graphics.

The Wind Waker sees Link go on a quest to save his sister Aryll, who has been kidnapped by a giant bird. Link has to team up with a pirate called Tetra to try and save her, but the evil Ganondorf will make sure it’s not so easy! You can see in the trailer that there’s lots of different kinds of gameplay, with stealth sections, fighting and sailing. You need to master all these skills to make it to the end of the game.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD release date is October 4th. It will be available in either a standard edition or a special collector’s edition that comes with an exclusive Ganondorf figure. If you don’t have a Wii U, there’s also a Wii U bundle that contains the console and the game. Will you be picking up the Wii U’s first Zelda game?
