The Shantae series hasn’t been seen since the last game Risky’s Revenge was released on the DS, but a third game is finally on the way. Take a look at the new trailer below.

In this game purple-haired Shantae will have to team up with her old enemy Risky Boots to save her magic which has been stolen by a bunch of evil pirates the Tinkerbats. To get it back she’ll have to jump, run and pony-tail whip her way through levels and stop the Tinkerbats reviving the evil Pirate King.

The release date for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is Winter 2013.
