Nintendo have caused quite a lot of excitement today as they have released two awesome new gameplay videos of Mario Kart 8! While one of them is a 30 minute long in-depth video, the other is this awesome new Mario Kart 8 trailer which highlights the new announcements, showing Mario and pals racing around loads of cool tracks and using all new items! Check out the new trailer below:

In the video above you can see loads of awesome tracks, as characters race across fire pits and pianos, into avalanches and even above the earth in space! You can also see some of the newly announced items in action such as The Super Horn, which released a powerful shock wave to blast away all incoming items, even blue shells, and Boomerang Flower, which allows the player to throw a boomerang up to three times, hitting any karts in the way. It’s great to see how chaotic and fun gameplay can be when the racers aren’t even confined by gravity anymore!

Other announcements today include three new characters, Pink Gold Peach, Baby Rosalina, and your Mii character, along with multiplayer tournaments that you can create yourself and release to the public. You can also race ghost characters of your friends and the 10 top racers to test your skills against the greatest racers!
