With the next-gen versions of Minecraft safely settled on PS4 and Xbox One, only the Vita is left needing a slice of the Mojang pie. Thankfully the wait is almost over, as 4J Studios has revealed that Minecraft: PS Vita edition will be released on October 15th.

The date is for Europe only, so people in America will have to hang on a little longer. The extra time being spent on the PS Vita version appears to be well spent, though. Jordan from Family Gamer TV has been looking at the footage from the game and thinks it looks very impressive, with a huge draw distance which means you can see far into the distance.

And remember: if you already own Minecraft on PS3, the game is cross-buy, which means you can download it to your PS Vita for free!

The Minecraft PS Vita release date is October 15th. If you loved this video, follow us on Twitter for loads more amazing stories and gameplay footage, and subscribe to Family Gamer TV on YouTube.
