Invizimals, the monster catching and battling game for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, is almost here. Both games – The Alliance and The Lost Kingdom – release at the end of March, along with some very special other things in the following months. Wesley from Family Gamer TV got to get up close and personal with some Invizimals and the game’s creators. Take a look:

Invizimals is all about AR, which stands for Augmented Reality. This means that when you look at things using the PS Vita camera or a phone camera using an App, the Invizimals come to life and start walking around our real world! This means you can find Invizimals battling on your kitchen table, or setting fire to your homework! It’s an amazing thing, and something you’ll only find in Invizimals.

Alongside the two games – The Alliance on PS Vita and The Lost Kingdom on PS3 – there will be a TV show. Each episode of the TV show will star a special Invizimal who you can catch using your PS Vita. Aim the camera at the TV, and the Invizimal will climb out the TV and into your house! How amazing is that? When you catch them, you can use them in your game.

There’s more, too: there will be Invizimal toys. Like Skylanders, by scanning the toy you can make that Invizimal appear in your game and use them in battle. But even better, the AR means the toy will come to life and move and shout all on it’s own!

And if toys and TV weren’t enough, there will be collectible cards too! Every card will have an AR code on the back, which can be scanned with your phone or PS Vita to bring the Invizimal to life!

You can read more about Invizimals in our great Invizimals guide, which is full of great videos. And if you really want to play, you can get your hands on Invizimals The Alliance and Invizimals The Lost Kingdom when the release on March 28th.
