If you’re planning on building a farm in Minecraft, you need to make sure you have the one vital ingredient: water! Without water you cant keep your plants watered, and they won’t grow into the crops you need to eat. This means you can’t build farms in places like the Nether because it’s far too hot and dry down there for plants to grow. Or so you thought! This clever Minecraft player has built a farm in the Nether, all thanks to some wet sponges!

Instead of having a river or some other kind of water feed his crops, Reddit user marr has soaked some sponges to make them really wet and laid them out around his farm. The water from the sponges keeps the crops alive so they’ll keep growing, even down in the barren lands of the Nether. How clever!
